The Millennium Monument featuring the greats of Hungarian history — a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Hősök tere was built to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the Hungarian state. The colonnades of the Millennium Monument feature fourteen prominent figures from Hungarian history, with the seven chieftains who led the Magyars into the Carpathian Basin standing in the center. Together with Városliget and Andrássy út, the square is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site.
